ALBA WEST BIKE SHOW 2008

The transition from Eglinton Country Park, Irvine to the Show Field, Drymen was very successful. Many thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers that helped us make the forced change of venue.

As anyone that came will tell you, the new site with a view of Loch Lomond is spot on. We just need to work on the toilets and washing facilities a bit.

There were a lot more trade stalls there this year with most of them coming straight from the ever so wet Farm Yard Party in Yorkshire.

The amount of foreign visitors was well up with a large party from Belgium and groups from Norway, Sweden, Spain, Holland and Australia. I think they were looking for Scotch Mist (which they found in the beer tent) and windswept mountains which seemed to be covered with country pancakes.
